Final Pics

These are some of the pictures of the denim jacket on a mannequin, I think it looks really good professional, I am really happy with the final outcome.

Denim Jacket - Finally Complete!!!

After going back to the jacket in between other garments, I finally finished it. I added more embroidery and embellishments along the side of the garment and around to the back, more cluster to the neckline and creating separate feather sequins to overlay the denim wings. I was finally happy and satisfied that the jacket was complete.

 After cutting the pocket off the left side of the garment I decided to sew it back on to the collar. I really like this idea and feel that it works really well because it is quite unusual.

I ordered sequin roll from Josy Rose and punched my needle through it to create a hammered effect and the couched down the discs on to the jacket. I feel it gives a metal plate effect.

I started adding raised satin stitch, safety pins and hanging chain from them.

More embroidery on the jacket now, I was not too sure at first but I like the jacket more now, I am really happy with the use of colours together and the different techniques combined.

Changes...

I decided to cut up the denim jacket and removed a pocket so I had space to embroider, this would allow me to add colour and make it more mine.

Denim Jacket Day 3...

After 2 13 hour days at Uni the front two panels are complete!! I also coated and exposed another screen to mirror the wing and printed that on to denim and pinned on the back. Still need to attach them properly, I also need to figure out what to do with the collar.

Denim Jacket - Day 1

I decided to embellish the front panels of the waist coat, the collar and maybe some detail on the pockets. I have just started clustering on a mixture of seed beads, metal beads, painted nuts and washers all with a metallic and metal feel. I cannot wait to see how it looks, but starting to love it already! I feel a lot more excited about working into the garment shapes.
